Fantasy fans of all ages are invited to take a journey through their favorite fictional worlds at Burlington Public Library’s Books are Magic Festival (formerly known as Quidditch Fest). 

All witches, wizards, dragon slayers, shapeshifters, and hobbits can take part in a Quidditch match hosted by the Rain City Raptors. Magic and mischief abound in a wide variety of games and activities with special challenges for the bravest of heroes. 

The magic begins at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 27th, 2019 at Skagit River Park. See you there!

Come one, come all for an out-of-this-world experience! The Museum of Curious Things is visiting the Oak Harbor Library with a collection of oddities from around the world!

The Museum of Curious Things is housed in a vintage Airstream trailer and will be parked in front of the entrance to the Oak Harbor Library. This program is supported by the Friends of the Oak Harbor Library. For kids of all ages and their caregivers!

The Anacortes Waterfront Festival is all about letting out your inner sailor and embracing life on the water! 

This annual Anacortes event has something for everyone: an open-air car show, food vendors, arts and craft booths, children’s activities, giant slides, water balls, dinners and dances, live music and entertainment, wine and beer garden, and so much more!

The Anacortes Waterfront Festival showcases the best of waterfront activities. On Saturday, Quick and Dirty Boat Building teams build boats all day and then test their floatability. 

Take a free boat ride – both days! 

Hands-on children’s activities include building wooden sail boats with Fidalgo Island Rotary, games, and more. 

Channel of Discovery displays range from model boats, to learning about our waterfront environment and forest land wildlife. A great variety of food vendors offer everything from pulled pork sandwiches, cotton candy and hotdogs, to gyros, tamales and more!

 Relax in the beer garden with live music and sea shanties.

Come remember and honor. This will be a moving program to remember the men and women from the local area who gave the ultimate sacrifice. There will be music and tributes, reading of the 50 names, the missing man table ceremony, taps performed by Samuel Stanton, and a 21 gun salute by the American Legion Post 92 in Stanwood. Please make time to attend this wonderful community memorial program.
